Heavy rain can have a significant impact on a stream - an impact that can be felt long after the water levels have dropped to their normal levels.

Taking a shower at Yongso 2 Falls

We spent this weekend looking at the valley and playing where we could. Levels had not returned to a safe enough level for all the jumps and slides, but some of our swimming pools were deeper and cleaner than ever.

Heavy rain also brings alive other dormant stream beds. Deokpung Valley and the sides of Eungbong Mountain were alight with the silver streaks of glorious waterfalls.
