Scrambling was an activity that really ignited my interest in the mountains when I was younger; even if I couldn't keep up with my brother. There was something empowering about tackling the mountain in a more direct route than the hiking trail offered. Even after having progressed onto climbing and canyoning, I still really enjoy scrambles - it is all about experiencing the environment in the fullest way possible.
So, we decided to introduce the kids from Matari Forest School to this activity. They've taken to it very quickly, and appearances suggest that they find it just as fulfilling as we had hoped.
