Bukhansan Ridge Climbs

Yeomcho Peak Ridge (Level 2)

Duration: 5-6 Hours  /  Groups: 1-2 people  / Location: Bukhansan Fortress, Seoul

Min. Age: 16  /  Price: 150,000 per person

Bukhansan is the biggest mountain in Seoul - and is stunningly beautiful. It is also home to a multitude of fantastic rocky ridges.

We'll start our day on the main trails and take things at a relaxed pace until we reach the North Gate in the old fortress walls. Here, we'll head through a barrier, show the ranger our climbing gear, and get the go ahead to begin our challenging ridge climb.
This climb involves some very exposed (the terrain looks very steep immediately below where you're standing) scrambling and 3 short rappels. There is a lot of slabby rock which requires some precise and confident footwork, which your guide will teach you how to accomplish.
Our ridge takes us all the way to the summit of Bukhansan mountain.

is much more difficult and intimidating than our Osiris's Ridge Climb on Gwanaksan. Unlike our Gwanaksan tour, where trainers will suffice, you do need appropriate mountain footwear for this activity.
A good head for heights is also highly beneficial for this route.
For these reasons, we do require a brief consultation before accepting bookings onto this particular climb.

The tour starts and finishes at the Bukhansan Fortress mountain entrance.
Multiple buses stop here, coming from the direction of Gupabal and Yeonsinnae stations on the Seoul subway system.
If you have difficulty navigating the buses, your guide can meet you at an appropriate subway station exit.
There is paid parking (but this fills up quickly on weekends)

Included in the price:
Snacks and Water
Use of protective equipment (helmets, harness, rope, etc.)
Photographs

Optional Extras:
Packed Lunch (price provided after consultation)

Availability of this tour is subject to the weather and occasional routine inspections performed by Bukhansan National Park Service of the routes.
